In a pioneering step aligned with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s vision for digital transformation and the development of government operations, the Ministry of Information launched the “Innovators’ Artificial Intelligence Lab” at the beginning of 2024 — the first specialized government lab dedicated to employing artificial intelligence to enhance media and administrative performance.
The lab aims to harness modern AI technologies in the service of government media and to develop the administrative ecosystem that supports it, by integrating these technologies across various stages of media content production. The lab’s AI applications also extend to advanced administrative fields, most notably in preparing institutional reports, developing operational plans, analyzing government documents and files, summarizing administrative content, designing presentations and infographics, conducting specialized studies supported by intelligent analysis, and creating virtual administrative personas that help accelerate daily tasks and assist decision-makers across different government entities. The initiative has also included the implementation of comprehensive field training programs, through which more than 1,000 government employees from 18 official entities in the Kingdom of Bahrain have been trained.
