It is an annual award given to distinguished Gulf drama productions, as part of the support and encouragement of artistic creativity in the field of television drama.
The award was launched in its first edition in 2024 under the generous patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. This award is part of the Ministry of Information’s efforts to enhance the drama industry and encourage outstanding artistic production in the region.
